Dejan Lazić signs as composer with Sikorski Music Publishing Group
Dejan Lazić is the latest contemporary composer to join the ranks of esteemed names in the Sikorski catalogue. Sikorski, who publish works by such contemporary names as Lera Auerbach, Moritz Eggert and Sofia Gubaidulina, also represent the compositions of Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Khatchaturian and Shchedrin, amongst many others. Lazić says of the collaboration, "Sikorski's music scores have been a constant companion in my career as a performer, and it is therefore all the more a great honour and an inspiration to be included in their family of composers. I look forward very much to a fruitful and productive collaboration."
The partnership begins immediately with the publication of Brahms/ Lazić ‘Piano Concerto No 3 After Violin Concerto’, a collection of Lazić‘s original cadenzas, his Piano Concerto No 1 ‘In Istrian Style’ and various chamber works from Lazić’s back catalogue. Also in development is a symphonic tone poem, ‘Mozart and Salieri‘ which will have premiere performances in the USA and Europe next season, plus a violin concerto and a choral work.
