Alain Altinoglu - debut with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra

18.09.2017

Alain Altinoglu makes his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker, with three performances on 21st, 22nd and 23rd September.
The programme’s opener will be Maurice Ravel’s Rapsodie espagnole, followed by Béla Bartók’s Viola Concerto performed by Máté Szűcs. This performance will be the European premiere of a new arrangement and orchestration of the concerto by Csaba Erdélyi. The second half of the concert will feature two orchestral suites; a world premiere of a Alain’s own arrangement of a suite from Claude Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande, followed by Albert Roussel’s Bacchus et Ariane orchestral suite No. 2.
