André de Ridder will be making his debut with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra next week with two performances in Gothenburg on 11 and 12 April and a third in Vara on 13 April.

The programme will include the world premiere of jazz bassist and composer Lars Danielsson’s concerto for cor anglais and contra bass. The concerto was written for Björn Bohlin, and Danielsson will be performing the bass himself. Also on the programme will be Charles Ives‘ Three Places in New England and Paul Hindemith’s symphony Mathis der Maler.
