David Garrett has cancelled his upcoming concerts with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the conductor Christoph Eschenbach due to an acute slipped disc.

His upcoming concerts at the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie on 14 February and the Düsseldorf Tonhalle, 16 February will take place as scheduled.

Internationally renowned violin player Ray Chen will be stepping in for the performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D major. Chen and Eschenbach are long-standing friends and musical partners, whose recording of Mozart’s violin concertos No. 3 and 4 was released on Sony Classical in 2014. All tickets remain valid. The planned concerts in Paris (12 February), Hannover (13 February), and Baden-Baden (17 February) have also been cancelled with no alternative dates. Contact your ticket agent for further information on reimbursement of tickets.
