Whilst doing her Masters degree Nina Steinhart worked as a freelance music critic for Radio Bremen and the newspaper Kölnische Rundschau. In 1999/2000 she was employed by the PR department of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in Lübeck. This was followed by a position at fischerAppelt Kommunikation in Hamburg, where she was responsible for events, PR campaigns and design projects for institutions such as the German Federal Trust Fund for the Environment and the Ministry of Education and Science. Nina Steinhart studied musicology, romance languages and literature (French) and history at the University of Cologne. Since June 2004 she runs the PR department of the Konzertdirektion Schmid.

After having spent a year in England, Astrid Brauer studied English and Musicology at the universities of Kiel and Wuerzburg. Prior to joining Konzertdirektion Schmid in August 2006, she had worked as a trainee at a music publisher´s, done a correspondence course in journalism and completed several internships in the cultural field, amongst others at the music festival „Franconian Summer“ and in the press department of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

Andrea Homburg, born in Mülheim an der Ruhr, studied at the Trinity College of Music in London and returned to Germany in 2002. She completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in German and Comparative Literature at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and worked as a freelancer for a local newspaper. Following her studies, she gained practical experience in PR work through several placements, e.g. in the press office of the Konzerthaus Berlin. In November 2008, she started work in the PR department of KD Schmid.
