Fumiaki Miura
Violin
In co-operation with the International Violin-Competition Hannover
First Prize Winner 2009, Music Critics Prize and Audience Prize
Konzertdirektion Schmid will take over the mentoring and representation of Fumiaki Miura, the youngest First Prize Winner in the history of the competition. Born in Tokyo Miura graduated from the Toho Gakuen School of Music where he was a student of Tsugio Tokunaga. In 2009 the 16 year old highly talented violinist enrolled at the Vienna Conservatory to study with Pavel Vernikov.
Despite winning such a prestigious award, Miura will continue to concentrate on his studies, taking part in plenty of master classes and chamber music courses. However, occasionally he will appear as soloist at selected festivals such as the Braunschweig Classix Festival or the Festival Julian Rachlin and Friends.
